WMA Wilderness First Responder Recertification Course: 

The Open Recertification course is open to graduates of any wilderness-based first aid training course that was at least 64 hours long and completed within 3 years of the proposed recertification option. Successful graduates of this course will receive Wilderness Medical Associates’ Wilderness First Responder, Anaphylaxis, and BLS/Healthcare Provider-level CPR certifications. WMA WEMT graduates with a current EMT-B or Paramedic certificate may also recertify the wilderness portion of their WEMT with this course.

**If you are using this course to recertify a WMA WEMT it is your responsibility to let the sponsor know when registering and to inform the instructor on the first day of class.**

Dates:  5/2/25 - 5/4/25

Start Time and Location:  8:00 AM, Voyageur Outward Bound School Ely Basecamp - Signs will direct you where to go.  *We recommend arriving the night before in order to get settled and be ready bright and early on the course-start day.  

End Time and Location:  Late afternoon, Voyageur Outward Bound School Ely Basecamp

Cost:  $400
This includes food & rustic lodging accommodations.

-  Must be 21 years old to participate.

-  Register by submitting your information below.  VOBS Admissions will then send your enrollment packet and invoice via email within 2 business days. 
-  Priority will be given to current VOBS employees until February 15th and then registrations from the general public in the order they are received.
