The Wilderness First Responder program is the ideal medical training for leaders in remote areas including outdoor educators, guides, military, professional search and rescue teams, researchers, and those involved in disaster relief. The curriculum is comprehensive and practical. It includes the essential principles and skills required to assess and manage medical problems in isolated and extreme environments for days and weeks if necessary.
Dates: 5/5/25 - 5/12/25
Start Time and Location: 8:00 AM, Voyageur Outward Bound School Ely Basecamp - Signs will direct you where to go. *We recommend arriving the night before in order to get settled and be ready bright and early on the course-start day.
End Time and Location: Late afternoon, Voyageur Outward Bound School Ely Basecamp
Cost: $900. This cost includes rustic accommodation & food during your course.

- Priority will be given to current VOBS employees until February 15th and then registrations from the general public in the order they are received.
