Without the noise of their regular lives, kids have a chance to just be, to hear themselves think, to connect with the larger world. They see the world is big and they start thinking about their place in it.

The point of an Outward Bound expedition is to teach you that you can do more than you think you can, and you need your group to help you realize that – how naturally this can occur in a wilderness setting is something I love deeply – it’s why I do this work for a living.

Final thought: We are all healthy, happy and stronger in both spirit and character.

We facilitate experiences that push students out of their comfort zones while teaching social and emotional skills like collaboration, perseverance and problem-solving.

You could pull the rope, but you’ll do better with your own two hands on the rock. Trust yourself.
