Step 2: Enroll and pay a deposit.
Once you have chosen your expedition, either select ENROLL on the website, or call us at (828)-239-2376. You will be asked to complete a short questionnaire and submit a $500 deposit. This deposit includes a $150 non-refundable processing fee.
Step 3: Look for an email from your Course Advisor.
Once you have completed Steps 1 & 2, one of our Admissions staff will send you a Registration Email within a couple of business days – look for an email from someone with an @vobs.org address (sometimes these emails get lost in your "junk" folder).
Your registration email will contain a link to your Course Page, which has important information about your course, including the Medical Form, Applicant Profile, Commitment to Excellence and other forms that are important for you to complete. If you have difficulties downloading these forms, contact your Course Advisor immediately and we will help you out.
Step 4: Send us your completed forms ASAP.
Complete all the required forms outlined in your registration email and submit to us by email, mail or fax within two weeks (sometimes less, if you sign up close to Course Start).
Step 5: Pay for your course.
Your full course tuition is due on or before 90 days before your course start date.
Step 6: Get ready for course!
Start preparing mentally and physically for your course. You don't have to be a world-class athlete to complete an Outward Bound course. In fact, most of our courses are designed for the average person who is looking for a physical, mental and social challenge. Still, your level of physical readiness will affect your experience.
